Usage detection: The sensor detects when the urinal is actually used by measuring the liquid (urine). The sensor can detect the difference betwen air, water and urine. And, it can accordingly detect the start and end of each use.
Valve control: The sensor controls a 6V-bi-balanced valve.
Overflow protection: The sensor can detect clogging and prevent the urinal from 
overflowing.
